University of Houston Head Basketball Coach Kelvin Sampson tweeted out a plea to the athletic community on Monday in light of the recent floodings.

Sampson pleaded for athletic programs at all levels to send their own gear (shirts and shoes) to help flooding victims near Houston.

The athletic department of Murray State University answered.

The official Twitter account of Murray State’s men’s basketball responded on Tuesday to Sampson, confirming that Racer gear would find its way to Houston in the upcoming week.

Other Ohio Valley Conference and regional schools have stepped up to the line: SEMO, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, University of Tennessee at Martin and Tennessee State University.
